About the company
Avaaris Solutions Inc. is a technology-focused venture, focusing on technology development and implementation in everyday engineering tasks. With the advent of AI, we are looking into how flagship AI models can be used directly in CAD software, and how custom-built AI solutions like agents can read, write and research engineering documents. Our tools are designed to provide ample proof, sourcing and references to help ensure the accuracy of the results.
What we do
AI implementation
Where AI genuinely fits engineering work and how to put it in place, from custom agents to firm-level strategy.
Emerging tech research
What's coming, whether it's worth the time, and what adopting it looks like in practice before anyone commits budget or hours to it.
Autodesk troubleshooting
Guidance and solutions for Autodesk product issues, vetted and proven through testing, with a proper breakdown of each fix and support for users on the site.
Drone licence certification
The full path to your basic and advanced drone pilot licence under Transport Canada guidelines, theory and practical flight training included.
Meet the team

Gurlal Brar, AScT
Founder
At Avaaris, Gurlal leads the direction and development of AI agents built to support engineering professionals in their day-to-day work. He founded the company to bring the technology side of engineering practice to the firms that need it: the software workflows engineers rely on, the tools built around them, the training that makes them effective, and AI agents that read a firm's own documents and answer from them. He directs what Avaaris builds, beginning with an agent grounded in a municipality's design standards, and sets the standard that every answer is sourced and verified before any claim is made about an agent's capabilities.
Gurlal's approach draws on nearly a decade of civil engineering projects and years of leading technology development for engineering teams, working with management, IT and engineers on which tools are worth adopting, how to train people on them, and where AI genuinely improves project work. Much of what he knows about engineering software came from knowledge shared openly by others in forums, tutorials and technical write-ups, and Avaaris is in part his way of contributing back to that community. Under the Avaaris umbrella, he also trains and certifies pilots for basic and advanced drone licences in accordance with Transport Canada guidelines.
Francis Hsu, EIT
Co-founder
At Avaaris, Francis brings practical industry expertise to the development of AI agents designed to support professionals in real-world applications. His role involves translating established standards, technical practices, workflows, and professional judgment into the knowledge and evaluation frameworks that underpin Avaaris' AI systems. He contributes the source materials and reference documents that agents are built upon, identifies the types of questions and edge cases professionals encounter in practice, and helps establish the criteria required to distinguish a genuinely correct answer from one that is simply plausible. He is also involved in validating and stress-testing agent outputs, ensuring that performance is measured against rigorous, real-world standards and that results can be trusted before claims are made about an agent's capabilities.
By combining hands-on professional experience with AI development, Francis helps bridge the gap between what an AI agent can generate and what a professional can confidently rely on. His focus is on ensuring that Avaaris' agents are grounded in authoritative information, informed by real-world practice, and capable of delivering accurate, verifiable results that stand up to professional scrutiny.
