Advanced RPAS Flight Reviews

The advanced flight review is the practical flight test required for a Transport Canada Pilot Certificate for Advanced Operations. Avaaris conducts reviews in Greater Victoria for candidates who have passed the Small Advanced exam. Each review is led by a Transport Canada designated flight reviewer, and results are submitted on the same day.

An advanced certificate is required to fly in controlled airspace, which includes the airspace around many airports, and to fly near or over people. Flights in controlled airspace also need a separate flight authorization from NAV CANADA. Much of the drone work in engineering, surveying and inspection falls into one of these categories.

Transport Canada sets the certificate requirements and updates them periodically. Please confirm the current rules at tc.canada.ca before booking.
